Shabiprabi (Sylhet): The admission test of 24 universities under general, science and technology clusters will start from next Saturday (April 27). 9 thousand 213 candidates will participate in this examination of the first year of 2023-24 academic year at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprobi).

On Thursday (April 25) afternoon, member secretary of Shabiprabi admission committee. Md. Abu Saeed Arefin Khan confirmed this.

He said that in this year’s admission test, 5 thousand 810 candidates will participate in ‘A’ unit, 265 candidates in practical drawing test of architecture department, 2 thousand 409 candidates in ‘B’ unit and 729 candidates in ‘C’ unit will participate in this year’s admission test.

Prof. Abu Saeed Arefin Khan told Banglanews that all preparations have been completed for the smooth conduct of the admission examination. We have written to the police administration to take order and security measures, to the traffic police for round-the-clock electricity to decongest traffic. Besides, for the sake of security, the Proctoral Body of our University will keep a watchful eye at all times. Strict security will be maintained at the centers during the examination.

Kamruzzaman Chowdhury told BanglaNews that all quarters of the administration have been spoken to in order to conduct the examination properly and to prevent digital fraud. Besides, members of the disciplinary committee will keep a watchful eye. It is not allowed to enter the examination hall with any kind of digital device. Legal action will be taken immediately if any such person is found. Besides, the candidates have to enter the examination center at the scheduled time.

Shabi Prabi Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed told BanglaNews that all our preparations have been completed to complete the examination smoothly and beautifully. Last time too, all the admission tests of the batch were successfully completed under our leadership. No inconsistencies were found anywhere.

He also said that all arrangements have been made so that the students can take the exam in a beautiful environment. Law enforcement personnel will be vigilant to ensure that there are no irregularities in the examination. Finally, the Vice-Chancellor sought the cooperation of all concerned including administration, teachers, officials, journalists for the smooth conduct of the examination.

Meanwhile, this year’s admission test will begin with the science faculty ‘A’ unit exam next Saturday. Practical (drawing) examination will be held for the admission of architecture department from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm on this day. After that, the admission test will be held on Friday (May 3) for humanities faculty ‘B’ unit and commerce faculty ‘C’ unit on Friday (May 10).
