Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in the price of gold within a day. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by Rs.630. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar has reduced by 1 lakh 13 thousand 561 taka. Earlier, the price of which was 1 lakh 14 thousand 191 taka.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (April 25).
Earlier, Bajus had increased gold prices on April 6, 8 and 18. Among them, on April 6, there was an increase of Tk 1750, on April 8 Tk 1750 and on April 18 there was an increase of Tk 2 thousand 65. Later, on April 20, after a day of reduction of Tk 840, on April 21, Bajus again increased the load by Tk 630.
Two days after this, Bajus announced a reduction of Tk 3,138 on April 23, Tk 2099 on April 24 and Tk 630 on April 25. In other words, the price of gold has decreased by 5 thousand 868 taka in three days.
According to the association of gold traders, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new price has been implemented from 3:50 PM today.
According to the new price, the best quality 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) will be priced at Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 561, 21 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 8 thousand 450, 18 carat at Tk 92 thousand 915 and traditional gold will be priced at Rs. 74 thousand 801 Taka.
The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
Earlier, Bajus had reduced the price of gold yesterday on April 24. Which is effective on the same day. According to that price, the best quality gold or 22 carat gold was sold at 14 thousand 191 taka, 21 carat 1 lakh nine thousand taka, 18 carat 93 thousand 429 taka and traditional method gold was sold at 75 thousand 209 taka.
