RAB has arrested a fraudster named Anwar Hossain (29) in Bagatipara of Natore on the charge of extorting money by using fake appointment letter in the army.

He was arrested from Bilpara area of ​​Bagatipara upazila on Wednesday night. The arrested Anwar Hossain is the son of Ibrahim Hossain of Bilpara village of Bagatipara upazila.

According to RAB-5 Natore camp sources, Moktar Hossain (42) son of deceased Shamsur Rahman and Dulal Hossain (34) son of deceased Ansar Ali of Srikol Charpara village of Ataikula police station of Pabna district were recruited for the post of “office assistant and driving trade” in the Bangladesh Army. Both of them were given fake appointment letters with Tk 6 lakh 29 thousand from Moktar and Tk 7 lakh 5 thousand from Dulal Hossain.

When they went to join Qadirabad Cantonment on January 16 this year with that appointment letter, they found out that it was fake. In this regard, on January 17, the fraudster filed a case against Anwar Hossain at Bagatipara police station. On the basis of that case, Anwar Hossain was arrested with two fake employment letters.

The arrested accused fraudster Anwar Hossain has been handed over to Bagatipara police station. Bagatipara police station OC Nannu Khan said, later he was sent to jail through the court.
