Bogra: An old woman named Sonaban Bibi (85) died after being burnt in a gas stove while cooking in Sadar Upazila of Bogra.
This incident took place in the residential area of Bisik city of the upazila on Thursday (April 25) morning
The deceased old lady Sonaban Bibi is the wife of deceased Mozammel Haque of Madanchar area of Bakshiganj upazila of Jamalpur district.
He visited Bisik area with his son four months ago
Shafiqul Islam, the son of the deceased, said that he has been living in a rented house in Besik area of Bogra for a long time due to his job. It’s been four months since her mother came home and cooks every day of her own accord. He saw heavy smoke in the house around 7:30 this morning. After that, I entered the kitchen and saw that my mother had died after being burnt by the fire of the gas stove.
Bogra Fulbari police outpost sub-inspector (SI) Aminul Islam said, we got the information around 10 am. After receiving the news, he quickly reached the spot. The whole body of the dead body was burnt. The body was recovered and sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SHJMEC) Hospital morgue for post-mortem. A case of wrongful death will be filed in Bogra Sadar Police Station in this incident.
