India is one of the most powerful names in world cricket. But no player from Team India goes to play in the franchise league of the world. If they go then cricket will grow even more as cricket has one of the biggest fanbases in India. But BCCI has kept the players away from these, so after Sourav Gangopadhyay-Sachin Tendulkar in the past now Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma is not going to Big Bash or any such league. Now Virender Sehwag opened up about the reason. Team India has a large number of players to play. Everyone wants to play. Only 11 people got a chance from there. Although cricket is played in three formats now some cricketers remain the same in all three formats. As a result, many cricketers do not get a chance. And the competition is so high that if a player is out of form, there is no chance to carry him with the team for long. In this situation, there have been several demands to allow the players to play in foreign T20 leagues. But the board did not agree.

According to the BCCI, if someone wants to play in a foreign league, he has to withdraw from the board’s contract. As a result, no player left. And now the schedule of Indian players is quite challenging for them to play in foreign leagues. Sehwag brought forward the reason in this regard.

In a podcast discussion with former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag was asked about Indian cricket players not playing in foreign leagues. The question asked, will Indian players play in foreign leagues in the future? In response, Sehwag said, ‘No. Why? no need We are big people, we don’t go to poor countries. I still remember when I retired from international cricket, I was playing IPL. I was offered for the Big Bash League. I agree and want to know how much I will be paid. They tell me 1 million dollars. I tell them, I spend this money on vacation. I say, if you give me money in crores then I have no problem.’

What Sehwag said is still to be seen. Mitchell Starc’s salary in IPL is equal to the budget of many teams in PSL. It is stressful for the Indian players to play in that situation.
