Bangladesh has advanced 6 steps in mobile internet speed
Bangladesh has fallen to the 112th position after another 6 steps in the mobile internet speed index. This has come up in the latest March index of Speedtest Global Index. Earlier in February, Bangladesh was 106th in the list. This index mainly shows the quality of internet service in a country.
It has been seen that Bangladesh has deteriorated in mobile internet as well as broadband internet index. Bangladesh’s position is 108th in January compared to February.
On the other hand, neighboring country India is ranked 16th in mobile internet. Countries like Myanmar, Zimbabwe, Iraq and Nigeria are ranked above Bangladesh in this internet service.
According to the index, the average mobile internet download speed in Bangladesh was 24.59 Mbps in March. Side upload speed was 11.53 Mbps. Besides, download speed on broadband was 44.25 Mbps. While the average download speed in neighboring India is 105.85 Mbps. Meanwhile, three countries in the Middle East are at the top of the mobile internet speed index. Qatar is number 1 with speed of 313.30 Mbps, UAE is number 2 with speed of 296 Mbps and Kuwait is third with speed of 228.64 Mbps.
Incidentally, the Speedtest Global Index gives an idea of the network performance of different countries around the world based on millions of results obtained through their own Speedtest app.
