He smiled. What people get here!

I was surprised by his words. I came forward and asked another person. His answer, again that Jinjira Palace! After returning home, I learned that many people came to see this palace after a YouTuber reported about Zingira Palace.

After asking one or two more people, when I didn’t get the answer I expected, a 12-13 year old teenager named Sohan came forward as a savior. Passing the alleys, courtyards and windows of people’s houses, I finally came to a house. On the east side of the house of L pattern is a two-storied building almost in ruins. This is Jinjira Palace. I was shocked. Seeing the official signboard saying ‘Preserved’ (although I don’t understand which way the conservation is being done), I was sure that this is Jinjira Palace. I went inside. I stopped seeing the walls of the palace. The corroded plasters of the walls seem to have been removed hundreds of years ago. There are kings, soldiers, horses, people’s laughter and many more.

Our guide, the teenage boy, told us that there was another part of the palace. I followed him there. As soon as he entered a house, a rough sound was heard. As if we came to see the house deed. I went up to the roof of the high one-story building by the stairs next to the bathroom of that house. Lantana bushes on one side, and a few goats tied with ropes to the bamboos of government signboards that read “Reserved” on the other. Buildings have been built around the village. There are only ‘preserved’ signboards as the last vestiges of Jinjira Palace remain. I felt the extent of occupation and political influence.
