Intense heat wave is flowing over 16 districts of the country. Day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Apart from this, the mild to moderate heat waves flowing over different districts of the country may continue, said the Meteorological Department. In a notification of the Department of Meteorology, this information has been given in the forecast till 6 pm today (April 25).

Hafizur Rahman said that intense heat wave is flowing over 10 districts of Khulna division including Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Rajshahi, Pabna, Faridpur and Gopalganj. Apart from this, mild to moderate heat waves are prevailing over Barisal division including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban districts and remainder of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and may continue.

Hafizur Rahman also said that there may be temporary rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder in two places of Sylhet division. Also there may be scattered hail at some places. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.

According to the Directorate of Meteorology, the highest temperature in the country was 41.6 degrees Celsius in Mongla and 39.2 degrees Celsius in Dhaka yesterday. On this day, it rained only in Chuadanga across the country. The Meteorological Department has recorded only 2 mm of rainfall there.

According to the weather synoptic, the extension of low pressure is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas.
