Chandgaon Thana area of Chittagong 10-year child rape case sentenced to life accused Md. RAB-7 arrested Afchar after 22 years. He was arrested from CNB intersection of the metropolis.
He was arrested from C&B Mor area of Chandgaon police station on Tuesday afternoon. Arrested. Afchar is the son of Manju Mia of Hamidchar area of Chandgaon police station. RAB has given this information in a press release on Wednesday, April 24.
According to RAB, on September 7, 2002, the boat driver named Afshar raped a 10-year-old child by taking her to the river bank and tied both her hands in a boat in the canal near Kashem Colony of Chandgaon police station.
The child’s mother filed a rape case against Afchar at the Chandgaon police station after learning about the matter. The Malaya court sentenced Afchar to life imprisonment and a fine of Tk 10,000.
He was arrested from C&B area on Tuesday after being in hiding for 22 years since the case.
