He died of heat stroke while digging a pond in Taltali, Barguna. A laborer named Naya Mia Fakir (50) died.
The incident took place on Wednesday (April 24) around 10:30 am in Khottar Char village of Nishanbaria Union of the upazila. The deceased worker Naya Md. Mia Fakir is the son of Amir Ali Fakir of the same village.
According to local sources, Md went to dig a pond at Hasan Mia’s house in Khottar Char village of Nishanbaria Union of Upazila. Naya Mia Fakir. He suffered a head stroke while digging a pond. At that time the locals took him to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty there declared him dead.
The deceased’s brother Sobahan Fakir said that he suffered a head stroke while digging a pond as usual in the morning. After he was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, the on-duty doctor said that he died of a head stroke.
Health and Family Planning Officer of Upazila Health Complex. Suman Kumar Poddar said, he died before being brought to the health complex. He is believed to have died of heatstroke due to overheating.
