Dhaka: The temperature in the capital has risen slightly. Meanwhile, day and night temperatures remain unchanged.

However, there may be rain with stormy winds in Sylhet division.

The Meteorological Office has given such a forecast on Wednesday (April 24).

Meteorologist Kho. Hafizur Rahman said, the extension of low pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas.

On Thursday (April 25) at two places each Sylhet division may receive temporary gusty/gusty winds with rain/thundershowers along with isolated rain at isolated places.
Hail may rain. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

Meanwhile, Khulna division including Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Rajshahi, Pabna, Faridpur and Gopalganj districts are experiencing intense heat waves. A mild to moderate heatwave is prevailing over Barisal division including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban districts and remainder of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and will continue after. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Friday (April 26) will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies across the country. The prevailing heat wave may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.

On Saturday (April 27) at two places each in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, rain/thunder with gusty/stormy winds and scattered hail may occur at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. The existing heat flow may continue.

Day temperatures may decrease slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.
The weather may change slightly during the extended five days.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius in Mongla on Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka was 39.2 degrees Celsius, which was 38.4 degrees Celsius the previous day.
