Madrasah student killed by robbers on Dhaka-Chittagong highway

In Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, he was injured by the robbers and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. A madrasa student named Sifat (18) died.

He died on Tuesday (April 23) night while in ICU at Dhaka Medical Hospital.

Earlier last Friday (April 19) night, the incident took place in Kanchpur bridge area of ​​Dhaka-Chittagong highway. The deceased madrasa student of Siddhirganj Painadi new Mohalla area. Son of Jumman Mia.

In this incident, the victim’s uncle Sheikh Md. Al-Imam himself filed a case at Siddhirganj police station against two unidentified robbers.

In the complaint, it was said that on the afternoon of April 19, his niece went out with her friend Sagar Sheikh (19) due to the fact that the madrasa of victim Sifat was closed. At the end of the tour, they both left for home at 8:45 PM. Later, when they reached the western side of Kanchpur bridge at the Shimrail intersection of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway, two unidentified robbers blocked the way. He then tried to snatch the cash and mobile phone from them. Then the friend who was with the immediate victim managed to escape from the hands of the robbers. Finding the victim alone in such a situation, the killers cut the leg with a sharp knife and inflicted a bloody wound. At one stage of the beating, they snatched two thousand taka cash and his mobile phone from Sifat and left the place quickly.

When contacted to know the progress of the arrest of the accused, Inspector (Investigation) of Siddhirganj Police Station. Mozammel Haque said that efforts are underway to arrest the robbers. They will be caught soon.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Siddhirganj Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique said that a case has been filed in Siddhirganj Police Station.
