Tiger cubs have been born again in Chittagong Zoo.

On April 19, the cubs were born in the house of the tiger king-fairy brought from Africa, but after 15 days, the zoo authorities informed about this on Wednesday evening.

Chittagong Zoo Deputy Curator Dr. Shahadat Hossain told Shubo bdnews24.com, “Two days before Eid, the tigress ‘Pari’ gave birth to three cubs on the morning of April 9. One of them was dead.”

The remaining two chicks are healthy and with their mother. He said that both cubs are girls.

Deputy Curator Shubo said, including two new cubs, the number of tigers in the zoo is currently 19. Out of which 13 are tigresses.

Out of 19 tigers, five are white, he said.

Earlier on February 23, tigress Jaya gave birth to three tiger cubs at the zoo.

The Chittagong Zoo Authority, which was without a tiger for four years, took the initiative to buy a tiger in 2016.

In 2016, a pair of Bengal tigers was collected from South Africa for 33 lakh rupees. 11 and 9 months old tiger and tigress are named Raj-Pari.

On July 19, 2018, three cubs were born for the first time in Raj-pari’s house. Two of them were white and one orange-black striped, named Jaya.

One of the two white cubs died a day later.
