Devoted people performed Istiska Namaz and special prayers in Bogra in the hope of rain.
On Wednesday (April 24) around 2:30 pm, Istiska prayers were offered at Gokul Taslim Uddin High School ground of Bogra Sadar Upazila. Hundreds of worshipers from different areas participated in the prayer. Khatib Maulana Aminur Islam of Gokul central Eidgah grounds of the city performed the Imam. After the prayer, a special prayer is offered for rain.
Since the beginning of this month, unbearable heat has appeared in various districts including Bogra. Those who are going out due to work or necessity are in discomfort. Various diseases and health risks of people are increasing with the intensity of sun and heat. The normal functioning of people is disrupted. Low income people are the most affected. In such a situation, the devout worshipers of Gokul area of Bogra organized Istiska Namaz to pray for rain.
After the prayer, Maulana Aminur Islam said that intense heat wave is a logical reason for climate change. Whatever situation we are in we should pray to Malik (Allah). May he shower mercy. We begged Allah for mercy.
He also said, according to the Sunnah of the Prophet, we came to the field and confessed our crime. I expressed my gratitude to Allah by praying and asked for forgiveness.
