Bangladesh’s last match in World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers is against Lebanon. War-torn Lebanon will host the match at a neutral venue. Bangladesh-Lebanon match will be held on June 11 at Al Saad Stadium in Doha, Qatar at 7 pm local time (10 pm Bangladesh time). Bangladesh Football Federation confirmed the venue yesterday.

Australia, Lebanon and Palestine are in Bangladesh’s group for World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers. Both Lebanon and Palestine have to play home matches at neutral venues due to internal problems. Bangladesh played against Palestine in Kuwait in the March window. Now in the June window, Lebanon will play the match in Qatar. Bangladesh has experience of playing multiple matches in this Middle East country.

In the March window, coach Javier Cabrera took the Bangladesh team to Saudi Arabia for over two weeks of training. You won’t get a chance to practice big time before the June window. Because the Premier League will continue till May 29. After this, the coach can basically start the camp of the national team.

Bangladesh has already played four matches in World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers. Among them, only one point was obtained in the home match against Lebanon. Of the remaining two matches, one is against Australia at home, and the other is against Lebanon at a neutral venue. Bangladesh’s World Cup qualifying journey began with a match against Australia. One of the strongest nations in Asia will come to the King’s Arena on June 6 to play an away match. Australia came to Bangladesh again in 2015 to play a World Cup qualifying match.
