Shabiprabi (Sylhet): Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprobi) has introduced Biometric Digital Attendance System to bring mobility in administrative work.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the program at the administrative building-2 of the university on Wednesday (April 24) morning.
During the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor said that an initiative has been taken to launch the digital attendance system to accustom all the university teachers, officers and employees to get used to the digital system. It initially starts with officers and employees, later teachers, students will be brought under this system.
He said that all of you should fulfill your duties with sincerity in your respective places, come to the office on time, and give maximum cooperation to the service users.
In addition, the vice-chancellor said that the digital system will be launched to ensure the attendance of students in classes within two months. Finally, he requested everyone’s cooperation to speed up the administrative work.
During the inauguration, the treasurer of the university, Prof. Amina Parveen, the president of the teachers’ association, Prof. Mohammad Anwarul Islam, acting registrar Md. Fazlur Rahman, President of the Association of Officers. Jamal Uddin and other leaders, heads of various departments, officers and employees were present.
