Zimbabwe will play five T20 series in Bangladesh next May. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced a 15-man squad for this.

Sikandar Raja is leading the team with uncapped player Jonathan Campbell. Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram have been called into the team.

Jonathan is the son of former Zimbabwe captain Alastair Campbell. The 26-year-old son of the country’s legendary cricketer Alastair is a left-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. Alastair played 248 matches in Zimbabwe jersey from 1992 to 2003 and scored more than 8000 runs.

The rest of the team on this tour played in Zimbabwe’s last Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka last January.

Experienced Craig Irvine and Shaun Williams are joined by pacers Richard Ngarava and Blessing Mujarabani. There are two young players, Clive Madande and Brian Bennett.

Madande, Bennett and Campbell played in Zimbabwe’s men’s emerging team that won gold at the 13th African Games in Ghana last March.

A leg-spin bowling all-rounder, Campbell scored 115 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 126.37 in that tournament. But the ball did not have to be done that way. In total, he bowled two overs and took one wicket.

ZC is yet to appoint a new head coach. This will leave Stuart Matsikenyeri in charge.

The two teams will play the first three T20Is in Chittagong on May 3, 5 and 7. Then the last two matches will be held in Dhaka on May 10 and 12.

Zimbabwe Squad: Sikandar Raja (captain), Faraj Akram, Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Jonathan Campbell, Craig Irvine, Joylord Gumbi, Luke Jongwi, Clive Madande, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Mujarabani, Ainsley Ndlovu, Richard Ngarava, Sean Williams .
