Today, April 24, is Bangladesh Hormone Day. The day is observed in the country to raise awareness about hormonal disorders.
An endocrinologist (hormone disease specialist) is a real diabetes specialist – Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and Diabetologists of Bangladesh (ACEDB) is celebrating this day with this slogan.
ACEDB has given 10 tips to keep the body’s hormones in good shape.
1. Regular physical activity.
2. Balanced diet.
3. enough sleep
4. Adequate exposure to sunlight.
5. Eating iodized salt.
6. Consume foods rich in calcium.
7. Avoid eating from plastic containers.
8. Keeping the air clean by planting trees in and around the house, keeping it clean and avoiding smoking.
9. Check for anti-hormonal substances (phthalates, parabens, triclosan, etc.) before using cosmetics.
10. Diabetes is a hormonal disease. Therefore, if the initial signs and symptoms of hormonal diseases appear, a hormone specialist (endocrinologist) should be seen quickly.
