Rajshahi Godagari with 6 and a half kg of heroin. A drug dealer named Ejazul Haque Jhabu (28) has been arrested by District DB Police. The estimated value of which is 6.5 million taka.
On April 23, Tuesday around 3 pm, he was arrested in a raid in Padmachar Matikata Canalpara area of Godagari.
Arrested Md. Ejazul Haque Jhabu is the son of deceased Abdul Latif of Diar Manikchak village of Godagari police station in Rajshahi district.
It is known that SI Inamul Haque of Rajshahi District DB along with the force was engaged to recover drugs at Matikata College Cross and its nearby areas under Godagari Police Station of Rajshahi District on April 23 at 2:30 PM. On the basis of secret information, they came to know that on that day Matikata Canalpara village under Godagari police station of Rajshahi district. Mizanur Rahman (45), Father – Deceased: Two persons were staying in a plantation near the Padma river in Bhiru Mandal for the purpose of selling illegal drug heroin.
Rajshahi District Superintendent of Police (SP) Saiful Islam said that on the basis of confidential information, it is known that two persons were staying for the purpose of selling illegal drug heroin between Matikata College intersection of Godagari police station of Rajshahi district and Kalbagan near Padma river in its adjacent area. On the basis of such news, the police conducted an operation around 3:30 am. Ejazul Haque was arrested when he tried to escape after sensing the presence of DB police.
