There has been development in the country due to stable government: Obaidul Quader

Dhaka, April 23, 2024 (BSS): Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has commented that the country has seen remarkable development in the last 15 years due to the stable government.
He said, ‘Awami League does not believe in the politics of murder. BNP has openly carried out militant activities. Awami League came to power and stopped the politics of murder. Awami League established a constitutional government. As there was a stable government for 15 years, the country has developed amazingly. The seizure of power through murder has stopped. There has been such development because there was democracy stability.’
Obaidul Quader said this while speaking as the chief guest at the pamphlet distribution ceremony organized by the Publicity and Publication Sub-Committee at the Central Office of Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue.
The bridge minister said that anti-national evil forces are constantly conspiring. They are doing anti-election work to deprive the people of voting rights. A united resistance should be built against them.
He said, we all have to build a united resistance against the evil forces against democracy, peace, development elections. Our leader, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s call to the supporters and progressive forces of the liberation war, the evil forces against the independence and sovereignty of the country are going to hit our foundation. They have to resist us. That is why we must unite.
He said, the killing of democracy started by killing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The conspiracy was led by Mostak-Zia. Anti-Bangladesh propaganda and conspiracies exist in the country as well as abroad. There is a conspiracy to overthrow the government. Domestic and foreign evil forces are conspiring against elections and democracy.
Quader said that Awami League is the only party which has formed an independent and strong Election Commission. Before that the Election Commission was under Khaleda Zia. Elections were made by thugs. He made a fake election with fake voters. Awami League is the only party in the country, which has made the electoral system independent and authoritative.
Awami League president Sheikh Hasina has called upon the people to exercise their constitutional rights by voting ahead of the upazila elections.
Obaidul Quader said, establish your civil rights by voting. Awami League believes that people are the source of all power. The anti-national forces killed the family of the father of the nation and subjected the people to military dictatorship for a long time. Sheikh Hasina has stopped the politics of killing after coming to power.
At this time Awami League presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Kazi Zafarullah, Dr. Abdur Razzak, Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap, Deputy Propaganda and Publication Secretary Syed Abdul Awal Shamim and others were present.
