‘Shark Tank Bangladesh’ starts from April 26

The world’s popular business reality show ‘Shark Tank Bangladesh’ is starting for the first time in Bangladesh on April 26. The much awaited show will be seen every Friday at 10 PM on the country’s largest video streaming platform Banga and Deepta TV.

This information was given through a press conference at Holiday Inn in the capital on Monday (April 22).

Jury of Shark Tank Bangladesh including Shark, Robi R Ventures CEO Kazi Mahbub Hasan, Start-Up Bangladesh Head Sami Ahmed, BdJobs Head Fahim Mashroor, Adcom Holding Group Managing Director Nazim Farhan Chowdhury, Enchanted Events and Prints CEO were present in the event. and founder Sawsan Khan Moin, founder and managing director of Gala Makeover Studio and Salon Naveen Ahmed, managing director of Majesto Limited Ghulam Murshed and CEO of BigGlobal Samuel Bridgefield. There were all the partners of Shark Tank Bangladesh including CEO Ahad Mohammad Bhai, COO Fayaz Taher.

Shark Tank Bangladesh was discussed in detail in this day-long event. ‘Shark Tank’ allows potential entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors, known as ‘Sharks’. If they like the business, they give cash through an agreement with the entrepreneur. If an entrepreneur has a prototype for a new product or an existing product or service, or plans to grow the business, they must convince five ‘sharks’ to invest in their idea.

Since its introduction on Japan’s Nippon TV in 2001 as ‘Money Tigers’, the format has become a phenomenal success worldwide and has been held on every continent under different names, sometimes ‘Dragon’s Den’, sometimes ‘Lion’s Den’. In this ‘Shark Tank’ format, the country’s hugely successful entrepreneurs, called Dragons, Lions or Sharks, have invested nearly $1 billion themselves, enabling dozens of companies to grow significantly. Entrepreneurs who join the ‘Shark’ ecosystem have seen massive growth. Made billions of dollars in sales after landing deals and appearing on shows.

After scrutinizing more than 2000 companies, finally this much awaited show is going to be aired simultaneously on Banga and Deepta TV every Friday from 26th April from 10 pm onwards.
