Bangladesh team’s new spin coach Mushtaq Ahmed has arrived in Dhaka

T20 World Cup is ahead. And Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Mushtaq Ahmed as spin bowling coach of the Tigers ahead of the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. So this Pakistani legend has set foot in Dhaka to take charge of Shakib-Miraj.

Mushtaq reached Bangladesh at 5:20 pm on Monday (April 22). On the other hand, the head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe came to Bangladesh last night.

It is known that Mushtaq will work with the spinners of the national team until the T20 World Cup. This experienced coach has previously worked in several teams including England, Pakistan. His first assignment after taking charge of Bangladesh is a five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at home. Mushtaq has set foot in Dhaka to accept the new responsibility.

Apart from this, the national team’s head coach Chandika Hathurusingh has also moved to Bangladesh. At times there was some confusion about his non-come, but BCB has always said that there is no confusion. Pushing away all fears, Hathuru came to Bangladesh. If all goes well, he will be the head coach in the upcoming Zimbabwe series.

Earlier, BCB gave Hathuru leave in the middle of the Sri Lanka series due to emergency. Hathuru returned to Australia on leave. Nick Pothus was given the responsibility of interim head coach of Bangladesh in the Chittagong Test.

The first match of the five-match T20 series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will be played at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on May 3. The first three matches of the series will be played in Chittagong, but the next two matches will be played in Mirpur.
