Chittagong: The experience of Japan can play a guiding role in the development of Bangladesh, said the mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (Chasik). Rezaul Karim Chowdhury.
The mayor made this comment in his keynote speaker’s speech at a training workshop organized by The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) in Japan on Monday (April 22).
He emphasized on the development of Japan-Bangladesh relations and said that Japan AOTS Chittagong is playing a very important role in coordination with AOTS Alumni Society in the development of human resources, as a result of which the people working in different sectors of Bangladesh are able to contribute to the development of the country with the training of AOTS.
The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) is an organization for human resource development in developing countries to promote technical cooperation through training, expert dispatch and other programs.
The Mayor was accompanied by Councilor Nishar Uddin Ahmed Manju, Mayor’s Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Supervising Engineer Jasim Uddin and others.
