Suspected KNF members arrested in Bandarban produced in court.
The court sent three women arrested on suspicion of being Kuki Chin National Front-KNF aides in the Sonali Bank robbery case in Bandarban’s Ruma.
When the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bandarban was brought to the court on Monday afternoon, Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. General Registration Officer (GRO) of the court Biswajit Singh said that Nurul Haque ordered to send them to jail.
The accused are- Lal Noon Pui Bom (18), daughter of Lal Tan Lian Bom, resident of Eden Road Girja Para, Ruma Sadar Union, Lal Ruat Phel Bom (20), wife of Sushant Tanchangya, resident of the same neighborhood, and Lal Eng Kol Bom (26), wife of Lal Choy Sang Bom. .
Among those who went to jail were Lal Ruat Fel Bom with her three-year-old daughter and Lal Eng Kol Bom with their six-month-old baby, a three-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son.
Five accused are on remand for two days
The court has granted two-day remand to the five accused arrested on suspicion of KNF in separate cases of robbery, looting of money and weapons and beating of officers and employees in Ruma-Thanchi Sonali and Krishi Bank on April 2 and 3.
At the same time, two arrested women have been granted a one-day interrogation request at the prison gate, said Court Police Inspector Fazlul Haque.
He said that when the defendants appeared in Bandarban Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday afternoon, Senior Magistrate Nazmul Hossain (Executive Court) gave this order after the hearing.
Fazlul Haque told reporters, Gemini Bum (20), Aselong Bum (19) Bhannum Nuam Bum (23) in the Thanchi bank robbery case and Lalrin Tloang Bum (20), Bhan Nuam Thang Bum (37), Bhan Lal Thang Bum (20) in the Ruma arms robbery case. (45) and Lal Lia Siang Bom (57) appeared in the court and applied for a five-day remand.
He said that the court granted two-day remand to five people and one-day interrogation of two women at the jail gate.
On April 2, a group of armed men robbed Sonali Bank of Ruma Upazila and looted money. They also looted 10 weapons of the police and four of the Ansar members. Bank manager Nezam Uddin was kidnapped. He was rescued two days later.
A day after the Ruma incident, on April 3, there was a robbery of money in the Sonali and Krishi banks of Thanchi upazila in the afternoon.
In two incidents, armed organization KNF was involved in the hills, the law and order forces said. Since then, joint forces are conducting raids in Ruma and Thanchi to recover the looted weapons and money.
Army, BGB, RAB and policemen are participating in the operation. The army is coordinating this operation.
The police reported that 71 people, including 21 women, have been arrested so far from various areas in this operation of the joint forces.
