Four more colleges are affiliated to Chabi

4 more colleges are affiliated to Chittagong University (CHB). In total, now there are 9 colleges of Chittagong under Chabi.

April 21, Sunday, through a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Rokhchana Begum, 4 new colleges were affiliated to Chabir.

It is said in the notification, in order to implement the directives and instructions given by the Prime Minister, steps have been taken from this department to affiliate the following nine (including the old five) colleges to Chittagong University.

The four new colleges mentioned in the notification are Government City College, Gachbaria Government College, Chandanish, Chittagong Government Women’s College and Patia Government College.

The notification further states that, in such a situation, a report is requested to be sent to the department by April 30 on the necessary effective steps for proper implementation of the said order such as: amendment of the existing rules (where necessary) and other matters to be done.

It may be noted that earlier on April 4 the following 5 colleges were affiliated to Chittagong University. The colleges are: Chittagong Government College, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Government College, Sir Ashutosh Government College, Boalkhali, Government Commerce College and Satkania Government College.
