The mobile financial services company ‘Nagad’ has gifted Tk 20 lakh to the players and officials of Fortune Barisal for winning the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Cash said in a press release that this gift check was handed over to a hotel in the capital recently.
The chief executive officer of the company, Tanveer A Mishuk, handed over the check on behalf of cash. Owner Mizanur Rahman and captain Tamim Iqbal accepted the check on behalf of Fortune Barisal.
Barisal team players including Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehdi Hassan Miraj, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Saifuddin, Shamim were present.
Cash was associated with BPL in the ‘Powered By’ category of this season. On the invitation of captain Tamim Iqbal and Barisal Fortune team, Naqd CEO Tanveer A Mishuk also went to watch the game in this year’s BPL final.
Although Naqd has no direct association with Barisal Fortune, Tamim Iqbal, captain of this team, has been the brand ambassador of Naqd for several years.
Moreover, Mushfiqur Rahim is associated with Nagad Islamic. Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehdi Hasan Miraj are also working to promote cash in various ways.
