The Women’s T20 World Cup is going to be held in Bangladesh in September this year. And ICC has started making all kinds of preparations for that occasion. That is why a five-member ICC delegation came to Bangladesh yesterday to see the World Cup venue. These five members came to Mirpur on Monday, the day after setting foot in Dhaka yesterday.

And after Sher-e came to Bengal, the ICC delegation visited everything on the field. They have seen everything from the gallery to the academy grounds. Meanwhile, Sylhet Cricket Stadium is with Mirpur in the list of possible venues for the World Cup.

And they visited Mirpur today on the first day. After that, this delegation will observe the Sylhet venue tomorrow, Tuesday. Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Chairman of Women’s Division of BCB confirmed this to Dhaka Post.

Members of the five-member delegation to Bangladesh are: Women’s World Cup Event Operations Manager Gurjit Singh, Pitch Consultant Andy Atkinson, Commercial & Sponsorship Department Laila Stein, Hospitality Department Alana White and Security Specialist David Musker.

After 10 years, Bangladesh is going to host the Women’s T20 World Cup again. The decision was taken at the end of the 2022 ICC Annual Meeting held in Birmingham. In the meantime, Australian women have visited Bangladesh as part of the preparations ahead of the World Cup. The tour of India women’s team is ahead.
