Dhaka, April 21, 2024 (BASS) : Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States, Mohammad Imran, has urged expatriates to send remittances through legal channels to strengthen Bangladesh’s economy. At the same time, he requested to highlight the success of the country abroad to brighten the image of Bangladesh.
The ambassador made this call yesterday in the speech of the chief guest at an event titled ‘Customer Rally and SECI App Campaign’ of Sonali Exchange at the Bangabandhu Auditorium at the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC. The event was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC and Sonali Exchange, a subsidiary of Sonali Bank PLC, to create awareness about sending remittances to Bangladesh through legitimate channels. This news was reported in an official information report received in Dhaka today Sunday.
It was reported that Ambassador Imran also said that under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved unprecedented progress in all fields. There have been many positive achievements and changes in the country. He said, ‘If we can tell this success story and spread it all over the world, then Bangladesh will reach a unique height.’
Among others Sonali Bank Plc Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Afzal Karim and Debashree Mitra, CEO of Sonali Exchange Company Inc., USA spoke on the occasion.
