Bangladesh daily journalist Shafiq Zaman’s memorial service

The 5th death anniversary of the late president of Jamalpur District Press Club and Bangladesh daily journalist Shafiq Zaman Lebu has been celebrated. A memorial service and doa mahfil was organized on the occasion of his death anniversary at the Jamalpur District Press Club auditorium on Sunday evening.

Jamalpur district press club president advocate Yusuf Ali presided over the memorial meeting and mayor Chanwar Hossain spoke as the chief guest. At that time, the speakers said, Shafiq Zaman Lebu was a journalist, poet, writer and organizer. Even after his death he has a place in everyone’s heart for his active life. The speakers were overwhelmed with emotion while reminiscing about the life and work of Shafiq Zaman Lebu. General Secretary of Jamalpur District Press Club, Bangladesh Daily Journalist Shubhra Mehdi moderated the event. Later prayers were offered for the soul of Shafiq Zaman, led by Maulana Amir Uddin.

It should be noted that the talented journalist Shafiq Zaman Lebu died of heart attack on April 12, 2019.
