Dhaka: Actress Mahia Mahi and actor Roshan’s tussle with producer Jennifer Ferdous over the pending government-funded film ‘Aashirvad’ has ended.
On Thursday (August 25), the Film Artists Association ended the conflict between them at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
In a press conference at FDC today, they said that all the accusations against each other were wrong. They also mentioned that there is no more problem between them from now on.
Earlier, this charge sheet was filed on his behalf last Tuesday (August 23) at 5 pm. Jennifer Ferdous, the producer of the movie held a press conference at FDC on the same day afternoon. Producer leaders were with him at that time.
Jennifer Ferdous, the producer of ‘Ashirbaad’, said in the press conference, “I would have filed a case two days ago, Manik has caused me a lot of damage. The movie was supposed to hit the theaters at over 30 p.m. Now I am not even getting 9-10 theaters.
He says its compensation should be paid to director, Mahi, Roshan and I will definitely file a case. It’s a donation movie, don’t be fooled. I will show this money. This money will come from Manik, Mahi and Roshan’s house.
Jennifer also said, “If I was upset with them from the beginning, why did it work?” No one was fully signed except Mahi.
Jennifer claims that director Manik embezzled money. He did not pay the crew properly. To whom 50 thousand should be given, they gave 15 thousand, instead of 1 lakh they gave 50 thousand.
Jennifer said, a music director called me and told me he got 20 thousand rupees. But I paid 40 thousand for that. I also have his receipt.
Meanwhile, in the written complaint given to the Mahi Shilpi Samiti, he wrote, recently the producer of the movie ‘Aashirvad’ Ferdous Jenifer has been making various false allegations against me and making bad comments. Among the comments which have gone viral on YouTube and social media. They are also threatening to file a false case against me.
He also wrote, I am embarrassed by these intentional statements and provocative actions of producer Jennifer. I am defamed. Not only that, negative attitude towards artists is observed in his statements. It is tarnishing the image of all film artists. I am protesting these controversial actions of Jennifer Ferdous including humiliating me.
Finally, Mahi appealed for organizational action against producer Jennifer Ferdous’ controversial actions. Along with this, Mahia Mahi also requested to keep the image of artists intact by judging the loss of his honor.
The movie ‘Aashirwad’ is going to release on August 26. This is a liberation war movie, and the story of this period is also shown.
