Popular West Bengal actress Paoli Dam is going to act again in the film Dhakai. He will be seen in ‘Bhuvan Majhi’ famous director Fakhrul Arefin Khan’s new movie ‘Neel Jochna’. It is being made based on Mushtaq Ahmed’s parapsychology novel ‘Neel Jochna Jeeban’. And this actress from Opar Bengal will be found in the role of the main female character Laila.
Producer Fakhrul Arefin Khan signed an official contract with Pauli at Decalog Management Center in Kolkata on Wednesday. However, who will be opposite him in the movie, has not been finalized yet. According to the makers, an actor from the country will be seen opposite Pauli. Which will be finalized soon.
Meanwhile, regarding acting in Bangladeshi movies again, Pauli said, ‘Filmmaker Fakhrul Arefin Khan contacted me about this movie last year. First I heard the story from him, since I had not read that book by Mushtaq Ahmed, then when I read the book, it was great. It can be said that I have been associated with this movie since that day. The ceremony was held yesterday.’
This actress also said, ‘To tell the truth, parallel universe has not been worked on in Bengal. Some work has been done in Hollywood. Examples include Christopher Nolan’s “Interestler”, “Inception”.
Producer Fakhrul Arefin Khan said, ‘I started working on this movie about 6 years ago. At the end of 2018. I think there has been no work on parapsychology in Bangladesh before. And that’s why I read Mushtaq Ahmed’s novel, that’s when I thought of making a movie. Then in 2019 the work was stopped due to Corona and my movie “JK 1971”. After that, I started the work again from the beginning of last year.
Talking about Paoli Dam, the director said, ‘Laila is one of the female characters in our story, which goes a lot with Paoli Dam, which is why we chose her in the first place for this role. Then Pauli was contacted, he was sent the script and he also agreed to act in our movie. Hopefully, we can finish the job very well with Pauly.’
The producer said that the shooting of the government-funded movie ‘Neel Jochna’ will begin at the end of next month.
It should be mentioned that Kolkata actress Pauly Dam acted in Dhakai film through Hasibur Rahman Kallol’s movie ‘Satta’. Shakib Khan was opposite him in this. The movie was released in 2017.
