I don’t donate money to build religious buildings: Vidya Balan

‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ is the new movie of this Bollywood actress. It was released a few days ago. Vidya Balan gave an interview to an Indian media as part of the promotion of this movie.

Vidya Balan said, ‘I think we are becoming more polarized. Earlier we did not have a religious identity as a nation. But now I don’t know why…. It’s not just politics, it’s also social media. Because we are lost in this world and searching for identity.’

Vidya Balan does not donate money to build religious buildings. In his words, ‘Health, Sanitation, Education – I work in these three sectors. If someone asks me to donate money for the construction of religious buildings, I say, I will not give money. Rather, if you build hospitals, schools or toilets, I will give money. I will participate with great pleasure. But I will not donate for the construction of religious buildings.’
