According to the newspaper of the Netherlands, The Telegraph, he converted to Islam by reading the Kalima in front of the worshipers after Friday prayers in a local mosque. A video of his conversion to Islam was shared by the actor himself on social media. He wrote in the caption, ‘I know you follow me. As many of you may know, yesterday was a special day in my life.’
Donnie Roelvink’s interest in Islam was reported by The Telegraph after he was injured while filming a fitness video with friends in 2022. He was hospitalized for several weeks after breaking five ribs in that accident.
The same year the actor was diagnosed with testicular cancer. In those two incidents he was completely broken. Seeking peace in the heart. The actor finally found peace in Islam. Then he decided to accept Islam.
