However, another popular car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, is going to join the race behind. They have also announced that they are going to bring electric cars to the Indian market by 2025.
According to media reports, they will start the preparation of this car in Gujarat for the time being. However, no official information has been released by the company. But seeing Maruti Suzuki’s focus on electric vehicle technology and battery-related projects, it is certain that they will bring an electric car. But they may not bring their trademark low-cost cars like petrol-powered cars. It is estimated that the price of their company’s electric car will be more than 1 million.
According to experts, Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle in the Indian market will be a mid-size SUV. Suzuki and Toyota are jointly working on this project. It is heard that they will first release their concept car at the next Auto Expo 2023. It is believed that the car will be added with two types of battery variants. One will be of 48kwh, which will have a range of 400 km and the other will be of 59 Kwh, which will have a range of 500 km.

It is also known that Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car will look a bit like the Grand Vitara. The car will hit the showrooms by September 2022. The car is prepared using powerful hybrid power train and intelligence hybrid technology. The car has 1.5 liter TNGA petrol and smart hybrid system 1.5 liter k15C dual jet engine. The price is kept between 9.5 lakhs and 15.5 lakhs.
