Previously, analysts emphasized that Apple plans to introduce new mini-LED display technology in the 12.9-inch iPad Air. However, things have turned around now and we won’t see the upgraded display in the upcoming product.

The mini-LED display is a much-needed upgrade for the 12.9-inch iPad Air, allowing for improved brightness for HDR content, deeper blacks, lower power consumption, and more. Ross Young emphasized that this decision was made due to the high cost of the panel, so both iPad Air models will be equipped with LCD displays.
