Drivers in unfamiliar areas or complex environments such as multi-level parking lots have considerable difficulty locating charging stations. And this is why Google Maps will now show the exact location of EV drivers through AI.
From now on, the nearest charging station can be seen directly on Google Maps. And the in-car navigation experience will be enhanced for EV drivers. It will offer users real time data on port availability and charging speed.
A new EV filter has also been introduced at google.com/travel. which will allow users to search for hotels equipped with on-site EV charging stations and will also offer various hotel suggestions for a relaxed and comfortable stay during road trips.
According to Google, this new update will make it easier for EV drivers to find charging stations. Also, planning road trips and getting relevant information about charging stations will become easier.
