In Bengal, both parties are blaming each other in the polls due to the collapse of Trinamool’s alliance with Congress. This time Trinamool’s All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee accused the state Congress president and Baharampur Congress candidate Adhir Chowdhury. Abhishek Adhir called branch manager and CPM’s state secretary and coalition candidate from Murshidabad Muhammad Salim as a migrant leader from a public meeting in support of Trinamool candidate Khalilur Rahman in Jangipur Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday. Adhir also taunted Trinamool’s ‘Senapati’ as ‘Khokababu’.

Trinamool general secretary Abhishek said from a public meeting in Raghunathganj on Wednesday, “In Bihar, Maharashtra, Mamata Banerjee is sitting next to her and saying, we need Trinamool to overthrow the BJP. And on the other hand, Adhir Chowdhury, the branch manager of Congress here, along with CPM’s Mohammad Salim, held a meeting in Dhupguri and Trinamool Congress, Mamata Banerjee and my father are doing the same.” Abhishek said, “The migrant leader of CPM stood once in Raiganj, once in North Kolkata, once in Murshidabad.”

Abhishek claimed that Congress and CPM are working as ‘B team’ of BJP in Bengal. Trinamool is the only one fighting against BJP here. Abhishek also played an audio clip in the meeting. After that he said, “100 days money is not coming. The state government has repeatedly told the Center to ‘give money’. But Congress, CPM were silent on this matter.” He further said, ”Adhir Chowdhury has not written any letter to the Centre.” ‘He is repeatedly saying, come to Baharampur and fight. Say no to fighting me at Diamond Harbor.”

After that rally, Abhishek participated in a road-show in Jalangi in support of Trinamool candidate for Murshidabad Lok Sabha Constituency Abu Taher Khan.

On the other hand, in reference to Abhishek’s comment, Adhir countered and said, “What does Trinamool boy say! Even the people of his party do not listen to him. Why should we pay attention?”
