Protests against Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue today at several US universities, including Columbia University. Many university students have come under the wrath of the university administration while protesting.

The British media BBC reported in a report that in Connecticut Yale University and New York University, the police have carried out mass arrests to suppress student protests. Police arrested more than 45 protesters as protesters blocked traffic around Yale University’s campus on Monday.

Last week, students staged a tent protest at Columbia University’s New York City campus. Later the police arrested the protestors. The university authorities announced to close Sasari’s classes in case of chaotic situation.

The White House criticized the protests as ‘anti-Semitism’.

Since the start of the Israeli invasion of Gaza, US universities have debated the Gaza war and freedom of speech. Most of the students claim that since October 7, incidents related to ‘Semitism’ and ‘Islamophobia’ have been increasing in the country.
