According to a study by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, military spending has reached its highest peak in the past 35 years in a climate of global war. Global military spending reached $2.4 trillion last year, a 6.8 percent increase over 2022. The highest position in this list is in America. They spent $916 billion on the military last year, second only to China. Their defense spending was $296 billion in the last financial year. Russia spent $109 billion, followed by India at fourth place with $84 billion. In other words, even though India is ranked fourth in the list, compared to the other 3 countries, the difference in spending in the military sector of India is huge.

India is followed by Saudi Arabia ($76 billion), Britain ($75 billion), Germany ($67 billion), Ukraine ($65 billion), France ($61 billion) and Japan ($50 billion). However, Pakistan is far down in this list. According to the report, India’s neighboring country is ranked 30th in the list by spending only $8.5 billion on the military sector.
