According to family sources, Rahul’s brother returned home and found his grandfather’s body hanging from asbestos rice. Rahul was rushed to Beliatora hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Family members said that Rahul is a cricket lover since childhood. He was cheering for Kohli from the first match of the World Cup. The deceased’s son-in-law Uttam Shur said, “He could not accept India’s loss in any way. India’s losses were almost ripe, and were becoming depressing. We think that’s why he committed suicide.

According to police sources, the police sent the body to Bankura Sammilani Medical College for post-mortem on Monday morning. The police are looking into whether there is any other reason behind this suicide, whether it is emotional exhaustion due to India’s defeat.
