The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a notification appointing four persons as ambassadors of Bangladesh on contractual basis in some countries. This recruitment notification has been issued on Tuesday (November 7) as per Government Employment Act 2018.

According to the notification, Sultana Laila Hossain, a BCS cadre officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as the ambassador of the Bangladesh Embassy in Poland for the next six months. His appointment will be effective from December 25 or after joining.

In another notification, Major General Md. Ashikuzzaman was appointed on contractual basis (for six months) as Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait. His appointment will be effective from November 17 or after joining.

BCS cadre officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in another announcement. Abdul Hai has been appointed on a contractual basis (for six months) as Ambassador of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Bangkok, Thailand. His appointment will be effective from December 29 or after joining.

In another notification, Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, a BCS cadre officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as the Permanent Representative to the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in Geneva and the Ambassador of the Bangladesh Embassy in Switzerland for the next six months. His appointment will be effective from December 1 or after joining.
