This time the Palestinian human rights activist Ahed Tamimi was arrested by the Israeli military. The 22-year-old woman was arrested in the occupied West Bank on Monday. This information was reported by the Pakistani news agency Dawn in a report on the news agency AFP.
A spokesman for Israel’s military said Ahed Tamimi was arrested for attempting to incite violence and terrorist activities in the city of Nabi Salih. After his arrest, he was handed over to Israeli security forces. He will be interrogated there.’
Earlier Tamimi had posted a ‘controversial’ post on Instagram, Israel said. In that post, he compared the Israeli army to Hitler’s army. The post is written in Arabic and Hebrew.
However, his mother claimed that the post was not of Ahed Tamimir. He said, ‘There are dozens of IDs in Ahed’s name. His photo is also attached to those IDs. But he doesn’t run any of them.’
Ahed Tamimi came to the discussion at the age of 14 years. A video of that time is still doing the rounds on social media. It shows a little girl pointing at a soldier and talking. Protesting against the capture of his brother.
Earlier, Tamimi had to be arrested in 2017 due to one after another protest about Palestinian independence.
The death toll in the Israel-Hamas war that began on October 7 is about 11,000. More than 9,500 of them are Palestinians. Most of the dead are children and women. More than 22 thousand injured. Israeli forces continue to attack Gaza indiscriminately.
Meanwhile, the Arab countries called for an immediate ceasefire in the besieged Gaza. However, America has opposed it. Washington claims that Hamas will regroup after a ceasefire. So now there is a call for a humanitarian pause instead of a ceasefire in Gaza.
