The meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping is going to be held this month. These two top leaders of the world will meet in San Francisco, America. A senior official of the Biden administration confirmed this information on Tuesday.
According to the Reuters news agency, White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said at a regular press conference that President Biden and Xi will hold constructive talks alongside the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation conference in San Francisco.
In the context of Jean-Pierre’s statement, an official of the Biden administration told Reuters about the meeting between the two leaders. He said there is an agreement in principle for a meeting in San Francisco in November. We are still working to finalize the matter.
Earlier, Biden’s National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Washington. Last Friday’s meeting discussed the much-awaited meeting between President Joe Biden and Xi Jinping.
Wang’s visit to America follows the recent establishment of diplomatic contacts between the two countries. The visit is considered part of preparations for a face-to-face meeting between the two leaders.
It should be noted that Joe Biden and Xi Jinping met face-to-face for the last time on the sidelines of the G-20 conference in Bali, Indonesia in November last year.
