Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former prime minister Imran Khan will soon seek political asylum in the United States. This information was reported by Geo TV with reference to Faisal Karim Kundi, Minister of State for Poverty Alleviation and Social Security.
According to the report, Faisal said these things to reporters on Thursday (May 25). He said, ‘I want to tell you some news. I have come to know through my sources, very soon Imran Khan will apply for political asylum in America.’

After the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, PTI activists attacked, vandalized and set fire to military installations including the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Since then the party has been under intense pressure from the state.
The army termed that day as ‘Black Day’. The government of Pakistan has also agreed to it. On the other hand, several leaders of the party involved in the incident and a large number of workers have been arrested.

They are being tried under Pakistan Army Act and Official Secrets Act. Referring to the current situation, General Secretary Asad Umar resigned from the post of the Central Committee on Wednesday (May 24). But he remained in the team.
