Out of this, 138 million dollars will be spent on sustainable development activities for the quality of life of more than 940 thousand Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and more than 540 thousand local communities sheltering them. This includes providing food, safe drinking water, health care, protection, education, shelter and psychosocial support.
The United States has urged other donors to increase financial support for humanitarian operations and support for people at risk and affected by Myanmar’s violence.
The United States appreciates the generosity of Bangladesh and other countries in the region that have sheltered the Rohingya. The United States is working with the government of Bangladesh, the Rohingya and the people inside Myanmar to find a solution to the Rohingya crisis.
