Haroon-ur-Rashid, Faridpur Correspondent: After an old man was killed in a road accident on his way back home from Nagarkanda in Faridpur after listening to waz mahfil, another old man also died of his injuries. Several others were injured in this accident.
On Wednesday (September 21) afternoon, Saltha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Sheikh Sadiq confirmed the truth of this information.
Before this, the accident took place at Sholkuthir Mor, Sonapur Union of neighboring Saltha Upazila on Monday night. The accident occurred when a speeding Mahendra lost control and overturned on the side of the road.
An old man named Shukur Sheikh (70) died that night on the way to Bwalmari Upazila Health Complex for those seriously injured in the accident. Another seriously injured. Abzal Molya (65) was admitted to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital after receiving first aid from the emergency department of Boalmari Upazila Health Complex. He died on Tuesday (September 20) around 10 pm on the way to Dhaka for better treatment. The deceased Md. Son of Aiz Uddin of Kuthibarni village of Maina Union of Shukur Sheikh Upazila.
The other deceased Abzal Molya is the son of Tasir Uddin of Golarpar village of the same union.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Sabu Molya, a member of Ward No. 5 of the concerned union, said that two people named Mahendra Ulte Shukur Sheikh and Abzal Molya died on the way to Bowalmari from Nagarkanda. A shadow of mourning has descended on their home.
