Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 431 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever. One person died during this period.
This information was given in the dengue statement sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Wednesday (September 21).
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 431 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever. Among them, 328 people in Dhaka and 103 dengue patients outside Dhaka have been admitted to hospital.
At present, a total of 1,557 dengue patients are hospitalized across the country. Among them, 1,900 people are admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka and 367 dengue patients are admitted outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to September 21, the total number of patients admitted to various hospitals in the country is 12,438. Among them, the total number of patients admitted in Dhaka is nine thousand 711 and the total number of patients admitted outside Dhaka is two thousand 727.
At the same time, the total number of discharged patients across the country is 10,835. Among them, the total number of discharged patients in Dhaka is 8 thousand 500 and the total number of patients discharged outside Dhaka is 2 thousand 335.
One person has died due to dengue infection in the last 24 hours. A total of 46 people have died due to dengue this year.
Last year, from January 1 to December 31, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital was 28,429. At the same time, 28 thousand 265 people returned home after recovery and 105 people died due to dengue.
