Cox’s Bazar: Miscreants hacked to death a Rohingya volunteer named Zafar (35) in Balukhali Camp No. 18 of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
The incident took place at that camp on Tuesday (September 20) around 3:30 pm.

Farooq Ahmed confirmed that a group of miscreants entered the H/51 Block of Camp No. 18 and attacked the volunteers on guard and fired one to two rounds. Later they hacked the volunteer Zafar to death and escaped. On receiving the information, the members of the Moynarghona police conducted an operation in the Camp-18 area.
Now the situation in the camp is normal. Farooq Ahmed said, the security system of the camp has been strengthened.
The police are continuously conducting operations to arrest those involved in this murder. Besides, the victim’s relatives will file a case at Ukhia police station, said the official.
Meanwhile, a Rohingya leader told BanglaNews that volunteers were guarding the Rohingya camp at night. At that time the terrorists came and attacked them. A few rounds were fired later.
The Rohingya leader believes that the perpetrators are members of the Arakan Salvation Army (ARSA).
