Four days after he went missing in Chittagong’s Patia, the police recovered the half-melted body of a farm worker named Mohammad Idris (39). The police recovered his body from a pond near the farm in Indrapol area of ​​Patia municipality at 8 pm on Tuesday.

Idris is the son of Nagu Mia from Nazrul’s house in Ward No. 5 of Jiri Union.

Meanwhile, Idris’s wife Sharmin Akhtar (32) has been detained by the police for questioning in the incident.

It is known that Md. Idris, an employee of Haji Sirajul Mostafar’s cow farm, was living with his wife and children in a rented house near the farm for a long time. He went missing last Saturday (September 17) around 10 pm. Idris’s mother Jahura Begum filed a missing diary at the Patia police station in connection with the disappearance. On Tuesday, the local residents informed the Patia police station after smelling a bad smell from the nearby sink, they went to the spot and recovered the body.

The body was sent to the morgue for post-mortem at night. Jahura Begum, mother of Idris, alleged that someone had an extramarital affair with her daughter-in-law. He often argued with his daughter-in-law about these things. His son Idris is believed to have been killed in a premeditated manner.

Police Inspector (Investigation) Rashedul Islam of Patia Police Station said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. There are injury marks on the head and some parts of the body. Police are working to unravel the mystery of the incident.
