A young man died of dengue in Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (Ramek).
On Wednesday (September 21) at noon, Ramek Hospital’s ICU Unit Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal confirmed this information. Earlier on Tuesday (September 20) afternoon, he died while undergoing treatment in the ICU bed of the hospital.
The name of the deceased is Rakibul (22). He worked at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Pabna.
According to the information provided by the hospital, Rakibul was admitted to Ramek Hospital on the afternoon of September 17. After that, when his physical condition deteriorated, he was sent to the hospital’s ICU at around 2 pm the next day. Meanwhile, 19 people are currently receiving treatment for dengue in the hospital. As of Monday, the number was seven.
Unknown to the deceased’s family, Rakibul got married earlier this year. Joined a new job a month ago. After being admitted to an upazila hospital with fever, headache and abdominal pain, he was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital the day before yesterday.
In this regard, Ramek Hospital’s chief assistant professor Dr. ICU unit. Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal said that due to dengue, he died due to high fever and reduced kidney function.
